Introduction to Merzio

This chapter provides a basic overview of the Merzio platform — what it is, who it's for, and what problems it solves.

What is Merzio?

Merzio is a modern multi-tenant ecommerce SaaS platform that lets you run a fully featured online store without writing a single line of code. The entire sales process — from product and content management to payments, shipping, and analytics — is available in one place.

The platform is primarily focused on the Czech and Slovak market with native integrations for payment gateways (GoPay, Comgate, Finby, Pay24), carriers (Packeta, GLS, Slovak Post), and VAT compliance according to EU regulations (OSS, VIES).

Who is Merzio for?

Small and medium e-shops — merchants who want to launch a store quickly without complex technical setup. The platform is ready to use from day one.

More demanding operations — merchants with multiple warehouses, B2B sales, product variants, a loyalty program, or a need to integrate with ERP systems.

SaaS platform operators — operators managing a portfolio of multiple stores, handling onboarding and billing centrally.

How is the System Designed?

The system is built around a portal → stores concept:

  • The Portal (app.merzio.tech) is the central hub where you manage all your stores, subscriptions, and billing from one account
  • A Store is an independent sales operation with its own domain, products, content, and settings

Each store runs in complete database isolation from other stores. There are no shared tables or tenant ID filtering — every store has its own database.

This approach lets you operate multiple brands or stores under one user account without needing separate login credentials for each.
