Services and Bookings

Services are an optional feature. If you do not see them in the menu, switch them on in System › Store features.
Besides physical and digital products, Merzio lets you sell services as well. Services support online booking, availability management and different ways of delivering the service.
Services overview
The /admin/services page lists all the services you have created.
Service types
When creating a service you choose one of three types:
- One Time Service — A one-off appointment or session (e.g. massage, photo shoot)
- Recurring Service — A subscription-style service that repeats regularly
- Consultation — An advisory or consulting session
Location type
- Online Only — A virtual service (video call, online consultation)
- In Person Only — A service provided at a physical location
- Both Online and In Person — The customer chooses how the service is provided
Creating a service
Path: Catalog › Products › Services › All Services › Add Service button (/admin/services/create)
The form for creating a service has these fields:
- Service Name — The name the customer sees
- Slug — The URL identifier (generated automatically, with a button to regenerate it)
- Service Type — One of the three types (One Time Service, Recurring Service, Consultation)
- Location Type — The location choice (Online Only, In Person Only, Both Online and In Person)
- Capacity (clients per slot) — The number of clients per time slot
- Price — The price of the service
- Duration (minutes) — The length of the service in minutes
- Description — A detailed description of the service
- Booking Settings — Booking Notice (hours) and Cancellation Policy
- Active — Switches the service on/off
- Service Images — Photos of the service
- Location Details — For in-person services, the place name, street, city, postal code and country
Availability calendar
Once the service exists, you set its availability in a weekly calendar. The calendar shows the days Monday to Sunday with time slots — you set the available hours for each day of the week.
Bookings
Path: Catalog › Products › Services › Bookings (/admin/services/bookings)
Manage your customers' bookings. Each booking has one of four statuses:

| Pending | Waiting for confirmation |
| Confirmed | The booking has been confirmed |
| Completed | The service has been provided |
| Cancelled | The booking has been cancelled |
Choice Types

Manage configurable options customers can choose when booking (e.g. add-on services, preferences).

Main settings
- Enable Services — The main switch; when off, the services section is hidden across the whole store
- Bank transfer — Allow paying for services by bank transfer
- Pay in person (at appointment) — Allow paying on the spot
- Card payment (Stripe) — Allow card payment through Stripe
- Allow guest booking — Let visitors who are not logged in book too
- Hide cart icon — Hide the cart icon in services mode
- Hide wishlist icon — Hide the wishlist icon
Service listing configuration
Path: Catalog › Products › Configuration › Service Listing (/admin/settings/service-listing-config)
Set up the look of the page that lists your services.
Number of items
- Services Per Page — The number of services shown on one page
Hero banner
- Background image — The image for the main banner
- Page Title — The main heading (multilingual)
- Page Subtitle — The subheading (multilingual)
Sidebar
- Show filters sidebar — Switch the sidebar on/off
- Sidebar Type — Static (Always Visible) or Closable (Toggle Button)
- Default Open (for closable sidebar) — Whether the sidebar is open by default
Grid columns
- Items Per Row (Mobile) — Number of columns on mobile
- Items Per Row (Tablet) — Number of columns on tablet
- Items Per Row (Desktop) — Number of columns on desktop
