Warehouse stock in the shop

Product and variant stock on the shop is shown from warehouse totals. On the product listing and product detail page you'll see "in stock" or "out of stock". If total stock is 0, the product or variant is shown as out of stock.
Add to cart
When a customer adds to cart or changes quantity:
- Available stock = warehouse total minus already reserved quantity (e.g. for other carts or pending orders).
- If backorders are disabled and available stock is less than the requested quantity, the system shows "not enough stock".
- If stock reservations are enabled, adding to cart reserves stock; the reservation is released when the cart is abandoned or the order is cancelled. The actual deduction from warehouse stock happens on order payment or fulfilment.
