Design

Path: Admin > Design

The Design section is one home for everything about how your store looks — theme, branding, component styling, navigation and layout, and custom code. These settings used to be scattered across several places; now they form one continuous surface.

Structure of the Design section

Under Design in the sidebar you will find:

ItemWhat it covers
Design editorThe main appearance editor — brand & colors, logo & favicon, typography, headers & navigation, search, buttons & forms, mobile menu, desktop category sidebar, admin
Theme managementChoosing the variant (theme) of individual storefront components
ThemesCatalog of themes to install
Custom CodeCustom CSS and HTML in the head/footer

In the same section, under the Navigation & layout divider:

ItemWhat it covers
Menu managementItems of the main menu, footer, and category sidebar menu
Mobile Menu BlocksExtra blocks shown in the mobile menu
Footer BuilderComposing the footer from blocks
Product listing configurationAppearance and behavior of the product listing

The shared left rail (Design rail)

The Design editor, Theme management, and Custom Code pages share the same left rail, so they feel like a single surface — you switch between settings without going back to the main menu. The rail's links use a ?tab= parameter, so you can link directly to a specific tab.

The rail is split into five groups:

GroupItems
ThemeGeneral · Components · Sidebar
BrandingBrand & colors · Logo & favicon · Typography
Component stylingHeaders & navigation · Search · Buttons & forms
LayoutMobile menu · Desktop category sidebar · Product listing
AdvancedAdmin · Custom Code · Themes

TIP

Items appear according to your permissions and enabled add-ons — if you don't see one, check the add-ons in the Marketplace or the user's permissions.

After-add-to-cart behavior

On the Theme management → Components page, alongside the component variants, you'll find the After add to cart setting with a live preview:

  • Open cart drawer (default) — the cart slides out after a product is added.
  • Show recommendations modal — a window with recommended products opens.
  • Nothing (just update cart count) — the customer stays on the page and only the cart counter changes.
