Stock – Overview
This section describes how warehouse-based stock works: the data model, where to manage it in the admin, how to add or subtract stock, transfer between warehouses, import and export, and how the shop uses stock for display and add-to-cart (including reservations).

How stock works
Stock is stored in the warehouse stock system. For each product or variant and each warehouse, the system tracks:
- physical quantity in that warehouse
- reserved quantity (e.g. for carts or orders)
- whether this warehouse's stock is included in totals
Total stock for a product or variant is the sum of physical stock across all active warehouses. That total is used consistently everywhere: in the admin stock list, when editing a product or variant, on the product page in the shop, when adding to cart, and for reservations.
Where to find Stock Management
- Log in to the Admin panel.
- In the sidebar, open Stock.
- You need:
- stock.view — to view the stock list, history, and export current stock.
- stock.manage — to update stock (add/subtract), import, and transfer.
